Was he currently taking any anti-depressant many of these happy pills have suicidal thoughts as a side affect, which put the person with so called mental health issues at an even more risk.

this is a myth put forth my people who's interest it is to discredit psychology and the pharmacy industry. it would only reason that folks who are suicidal would take medication and in certain situations they are resistant to medication intervention. in these cases folks who suicide did not suicide due to side effects of prozac but reasoning would assume they suicide because they are convinced simply popping a pill will fix themselves. when it doesnt they become despondent and this is why they suicide. i talk to so many ignorant people who have fears about taking psychotropic medication for this reason. i always laugh at them privately. i laugh even more when people cite this as a possible side effect on a message board. armchair pharmacists.report abuse
