Eric, it's because in Maine, those who do wrong have more rights than those they victimize. Starts with the criminal justice system and works all the way through every level of government, right up to the governor's office.report abuse

Cranky. These unfortunate renters can't move because they don't have the money. If they did they wouldn't be living in that dump in the first place. They are at the mercy of the slumlord. Slumlords are the pits!report abuse
