The burglars likely figured the homeowners wouldn't be so stupid as to call the police, since the police know that home invasions are frequently related to possession of illegal drugs. Increasingly kidnappings are related to illegal drugs as well.report abuseCasper

Just because 2 losers bust into the sanctity of their house, they shouldnt have to face charges.

They were minding their own business, granted they had "illegal" drugs in the house.
