Perhaps you disagree, but I think some (and I want to stress that it is some) people who use an alias write things that they would very likely never would if their names were known. Praying for people to die, name calling, etc. - look at those who write such stuff and almost always it is someone using an alias.
You are correct that one's ideas give one credibility. And I understand that for a variety of reasons many do not want to publicly own them, and I'm okay with that. It's only the haters, the slanderers, those that contribute nothing to the conversation but bile, that I call out for hiding behind an alias.
Google my name (but spell it correctly) - I am who I say I am - but note, I am NOT the Gerald Weinand from Enid, Oklahoma, that competes in distance running. I hate jogging.report abuse

No one running for Congress (Pingree included) promised to end the war single-handedly. And the primary power over ending the Iraq War lies with the administrative branch and congressional leadership. That said, I believe Pingree will work toward a sane and responsible end to the war.
If you have evidence that she is not doing so (and, given she's been in office for a month, it's pretty obvious you don't) you should share it.report abuse

Keke, are you saying that because the class of 2006 hasn't done enough to end the Iraq War, that anyone who gets elected to Congress as a D and opposes the Iraq War can't be trusted? Even if I agreed with your first point (I don't, entirely, but I think it's a complicated argument) I think the latter idea is ridiculous.
