Apparently, the only people nowadays who are to be considered "Republican" are the right-wingers. There is NO room or tolerance in the GOP for anyone who doesn't worship Rush.

Democrats, misguided as some may be, at least have room for ultra-liberals, moderates, and conservatives (like MY representative here).

Why do conservatives always assume that people who disagree with them are Communists or Socialists? People who want blind obedience to their political views, whether on the left or the right, are just as bad. Yes, liberals sometimes call conservatives, "fascists" but more often than not, it's the other way around, at least here on the Sentinel comment boards. Not a scientific poll, but I'd guestimate that 3/4 of the negative comments and name-calling come from the right.

One of these days, I really need to do an actual count though.report abuse

Thank you Senator Collins for visiting us at Tex Tech Industries today and we are glad that you learned more about the global importance of our business right here in North Monmouth Maine. I applaud your bipartisan support to President Obama, which benefits our entire country, and most importantly the people and businesses in the State of Maine.report abuse

I don't think I need advice on what Senantor Collin's job is or isn't from a liberal...I'm sure that our definitions of her responsibilities are vastly different...mine from the Constitution, yours from.....Karl Marx?? I don't know where you libs get your rulebook, I've always assumed that you make them up as you go.

By the way, did you vote for Senator Collins? I'm just curious considering that since I'm a Republican, I didn't have a horse in the race.report abuse

It's a shame we did not have more advanced knowledge of her gracing us with her presence in the area. I for one would have had a sign for her expressing my displasure at her stops. Is it purhaps a coincadence that Olympia graces the headlines and Susan makes whirlwind stops in the area on the same day. Their attempts at patching up and kissing up is not working for me.report abuse
