Looks like that's it

Folks are streaming out of Monument Square.

And right behind them are the street sweepers. Now that's efficiency.

Have a good weekend, everyone.

I had a great time at the parade but I would like to touch on a sour spot of mine. After all the time and work I put into this parade. City council meetings drilling personal on marching and running around collecting people and equipment. I feal it is a shame that there was not one picture of the United States Navy in the Portland Herald or the Sun Gernal. For me it is not about having my face in the paper but I would like to see my shipmates get a little coverage for there hard work and sacrifice. The naval personal did not have to be there but they took there own time out of there busy schedule to show respect to all the civilian peop;e of Maine and to all the military personal in Maine and around the world. I dont mean to disrecpect the New England Patriots but to see them as a spotlight in the paper over the National Guard, Army, Navy, Marine Core, Air Force, and Coast Guard is unbelievable in my mind.

To the American Public

This is Shane again if I have offended any of you please forgive me. I would like to hear from the public so if you click on my name where it says posted by you will be able to respond to me via e-mail. I apologize to the Police and the Fire Dept around the U.S. I didn’t forget about all of you but at the point and time I was a little heated about the lack of coverage for the military. I for one will never forget what all of you do on a daily basis. And I thank al of you. Knowing that there are men and woman out there like all of you protecting my family and millions of others while I am gone to sea or where ever I may be sent makes me proud to be an AMERICAN
